My Story

Currently I am a photographer working and enjoying life in Southern California.  I’ve traveled, studied, and danced my way from a little town outside of Philadelphia where I grew up, Reading, Pa. Honestly, other than being close to family I only miss the changes of seasons.  Its a beautiful place to live and grow up but suffocating for someone with dreams of working in the high fashion world.  And even though I am not there yet, my journey in pursuing my goals has been and exhilarating ride.  First major move was college in Philadelphia.  I chose not to take the ordinary approach to college.  No dorms, no big loans to pay for everything, and no university.  The Community College of Philadelphia had a full degree program in photography.  I had never heard of it before, but after three years of detailed photography training in high school I felt that with any help I would be headed in the right direction.  I worked my way through college as a restaurant waitress, bartender, cook, and manager.  After graduation from CCP, I was approached by my job with an offer.  Starting at $32,000 they wanted to make me a restaurant manager full-time.  That offer motivated me to get the heck out of dodge.  No way did I want to get trapped working full-time in a restaurant I had just graduated from photo school!  So after a bunch of research, and a road trip around the country  with my best friend, also another photographer, my mind was made up that I was going to continue school in California.  Again no dorms, no big loans, but this time I landed in Santa Barbara, Ca enrolled at Brooks Institute of Photography.  I again had to get a restaurant job and be very frugal with my money this time.  But the education and experience of being in an environment that dedicated to the art and career of photography was amazing.  I have grown as a person, an artist, a businessman, into someone with an identity.  I am now at a point in my life where I want to share, connect, enlighten, learn, and experience places and the people all over the world.  And through the internet we are able to share ideas, recipes, how to tips, and concepts from anywhere on earth.  I hope you enjoy my thoughts.
